The Rural Health Symposium

The Rural Health Symposium will be held in Salina, Kansas November 16th and 17th. This year the symposium is the collaboration between the Kansas Hospital Association and the new Kansas Rural Health Association.
Rural Obstetrical Access
There is a disturbing trend nation wide for rural doctors and hospitals to stop providing obstetrical services. There are several papers in the literature that describe the many facets of the situation nationally and in several states. Recently Kansas embarked on a task force to examine the issue. The task force represented many stakeholders in the state.
This portion of the Rural Health Symposium hosted by the KsRHA will discuss the findings of the task force and then invite participants to brain storm solutions in a round table format.
